ArthroLense, Inc., an emerging pioneer in the development of augmented and mixed reality surgical guidance systems, announced today that medtech industry veteran Michael Gabler has joined the company as Vice President of Development.
“ArthroLense’s ongoing product advancements in concert with the implementation of an enterprise-wide quality management system has now brought commercialization within reach,” noted co-founder Russell Nevins, MD. “The addition of Michael Gabler to our team adds a proven, hands-on R&D executive to help successfully navigate the next phase of the company’s growth.”
Michael Gabler joins ArthroLense from his most recent position of Chief Operating Officer with EchoPixel Technologies. Michael’s prior positions included senior management assignments at Zonare Medical Systems, Profluent, and Aptix.
“The trend toward orthopedic procedural specialization in conjunction with the exponentially increasing flow of patients into ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs) has led to a frustrating solutions gap for both clinicians and institutions,” Gabler explained. “It became immediately apparent to me that ArthroLense’s patented augmented reality guidance platform has the potential to lead the next orthopedic technology frontier, particularly with its distinct advantages over robots and array-based navigation constructs.”
Brad Nathan, President of ArthroLense-backer Lynx Equity, commented that “Michael’s onboarding represents the confidence of our development trajectory and the speed with which we are advancing Arthrolense’s pioneering solutions. We are thrilled to welcome Michael to the team and expect his impact will be immediate and certainly an important catalyst for our anticipated regulatory filing and subsequent commercial launch.”
